The Appeal Proceedings in front of the European Patent Office (EPO) were concluded in favor of Megaplast S.A. The decision issued by EPO is definite and cannot be further appealed.

On January 12th, 2017 in Munich, Germany, the Appeal Proceedings in front of the EPO aganst the granted patent EP 1989044 entitled "packaging film", between Megaplast S.A. on one side, and Ecoventi Sistemas S.L and Silvalac S.A on the other side, were concluded in favor of Megaplast S.A.

The Megaplast patent remained Granted. The validity of this European patent has been confirmed by EPO and enforced in several countries in the European Union and notably in Spain published in Spanish as ES 2366871.
